ROOF COVERING FOR CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND IN ANSOAIN-PAMPLONA
Roof covering for children’s playground area.
Our design process was focused on achieving full covering of the playground area (540mts2). We aimed for the most aesthetic and elegant design with the least number of pilars and a diaphanous design with no middle support columns. We achieved the tallest height possible in order to not disturb any of the children’s swings or slides.
The shape of the membrane was designed to be in an arch form, which is ideal for matching the main aims of the project described above. In maintaining a pronounced curving of the radius we achieve both a majestic height and a double curve which keeps with the basic principles of textile architecture.
This project has now been accepted in the prestigious IFAI competition of the international textile industry convention in the US.
